Inspection campaign uncovers violations in school buses

Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology carried out an inspection campaign on school buses in a number of schools across the country under the slogan ‘Safe and Sustainable School Transportation System’, on Tuesday.

The campaign aimed to ensure abidance by the Land Transportation Law and its executive regulation as part of the Ministry of Education’s keenness to control school transportation.

During the campaign, inspectors issued a number of violations including lack of safety specifications at school buses, failure to register on the Naql platform and non-compliance with the technical specifications approved by the ministry.
