Ramadhan is a significant month for Muslims around the world, and different regions have their traditional dishes for breaking the fast. In India, one of the most popular Ramadhan dishes is biryani, which is a flavourful and aromatic rice dish that is made with various spices, meat, and vegetables.

Here is a recipe for Chicken Biryani that you can try:

Ingredients:

2 cups of basmati rice

500g chicken

2 onions, sliced

3 tomatoes, chopped

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1 tablespoon garlic paste

2 tablespoons Biryani Masala

2 green cardamom pods

2 cinnamon sticks

2 cloves

2 bay leaves

2 tablespoons oil

Salt to taste

4 cups of water

Instructions:

Rinse the basmati rice until the water runs clear, then soak it in water for 30 minutes.

In a pot, heat the oil over medium heat and fry the onions until they are golden brown. Add the ginger and garlic paste and fry for another minute.

Add the chicken to the pot and fry until it is browned on all sides. Add the tomatoes, Biryani Masala, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Drain the rice and add it to the pot. Add the green cardamom pods, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and bay leaves to the pot. Mix well.

Add 4 cups of water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Cover the pot with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Cook for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water has been absorbed.

Once the biryani is cooked, remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve hot.

Hope you enjoy this dish with your family!
