Muscat: Ramadhan table tennis tournament competitions will begin on Sunday under organisation of Sports Mania Oman in cooperation with Oman Table Tennis Association (OTTA). The event will be hosted by Spin Table Tennis Academy which is located in Muscat. The Ramadhan table tennis event will be open for all the age categories and the competitions will be held at singles and teams levels. The deadline of registration was set on Saturday and several participants confirmed their presence in the event.
The tournament is open for all the categories and will begin with the qualifiers stage and then followed by knockout stages. The competitions will be held in many tables while few tables are dedicated for training and warm-up purposes in the academy. The draw of the tournament will take place ahead of the tournament. All the participants will form a team among them to compete for the top places awards. More than RO 1,000 cash prizes are set for the top winners.
The Ramadhan table tennis tournament will act as a vital preparation stage for the players to shape their readiness for the forthcoming official OTTA’s events which will resume after Eid Al Fitr break. The tournament will assist the players to play more games and gain more experience.
