Muscat: Royal Decree Ratifies Oman’s Joining Arab Charter on Human Rights Muscat, 21 Mar (ONA) --- His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today issued a Royal decree No. (16/2023) on ratifying the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Arab Charter on Human Rights. Article (1) ratifies the Sultanate of Oman’s joining the Arab Charter on Human Rights according to the version attached to this Royal decree, while taking into consideration a reservation on the provision of paragraph (2) of article (19) of the aforementioned charter. Article (2) stipulates that departments concerned shall deposit the document of joining the abovementioned charter as per its provisions, while taking into consideration the aforementioned reservation. Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
