MUSCAT: Fagor FCC beat Orient Travels by 21 runs in the final of the A Division T20 tournament powered by Khimji Ramdas.

Winning the toss and opting to bat first, Fagor FCC’s Chirag Mandaviya (48 off 47b; 1x4,3x6) and Sultan Ahmed (43 off 30b; 6x4) notched up a partnership of 68 runs for the third wicket, setting them up for a big total.

However, tight spells and picking wickets at regular intervals courtesy Tanveer Rana’s 3-38 , Tauseef Ahmed’s 2-13 and Mudassar Qayyum’s 2-28 restricted Fagor FCC to 147-9 in 20 overs.

In reply, Orient Travels kept losing wickets in clusters holding them back to gain momentum to chase down the par-score set by Fagor FCC. Syed Amir Ali’s (45 off 27b; 5x4,2x6) blitz got Orient Travels close to the target but couldn’t take them over the line falling short by 21 runs. Fagor FCC’s Aneermon claimed 3-16 while Charles Jacob picked 3-29 to ensure the title for them.

Fagor FCC claimed the A Division 50 over title as well.
