Under the auspices of Major General Khalifa bin Ali bin Nassr al Siyabi, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the final match of Omantel Schools League will take place at the Royal Oman Police Stadium in Al Wattayah on Tuesday. The match will kick off at 6:15 pm.
The closing ceremony will be attended by Dr Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidy, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Education and chairman of Oman Schools Sports Association besides presence of Majid bin Said al Bahri, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Education for Administrative and Financial Affairs and top dignitaries.
The quarterfinals and the semifinals witnessed great excitement, and most of the matches were decided by penalty kicks. The tournament also produced a large number of talents that will have a great importance in the future in the domestic clubs and the national teams.
On the other hand, as part of the accompanying events for Omantel Schools league, three sports festivals concluded on Monday. These festivals targeted female students in Al Seeb, Al Amerat and Bausher with participation of more than 300 students.
The Omantel Schools League is under the organisation of OSSA with the support of Omantel, with the participation of 12 teams representing educational directorates and private schools.
