Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology held here on Monday a seminar on the new generation of artificial intelligence (AI).
The event aims to highlight the most prominent policies regulating the use of modern technologies. It also sheds light on investment opportunities through AI-based platforms, in addition to coming up with recommendations and a clear message to society on all aspects related to new AI technologies.
The opening ceremony of the seminar was held under the auspices of Dr Khalifa Abdullah al Barwani, CEO of the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
During the event, Dr Ali Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology pointed out that the seminar is one of the initiatives of the executive programme for artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
