Muscat: The latest weather analysis of the National Multi-Hazard Early Warning Center indicates that an upper air trough is likely to affect the Sultanate of Oman from March 19-23.
Clouds advection and isolated rain, occasional thundershowers, are expected over the governorates of Dhofar and Al Wusta starting from Sunday evening.
The impact will extend, from Monday evening, to cover the rest of the governorates.
The expected impacts are isolated rainfall and occasional thundershowers which may cause wadies to flow, and fresh associated winds with speeds of 15 to 25 kt (2845km/h).
The sea state will be moderate to rough along most of the coasts with maximum wave height ranging between two to three meters.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has urged all to take precautions during rainfall.
