Muscat: The Final of the Oman Cricket A Division T20 Tournament 2023 powered by Khimji Ramdas LLC is to be held on Friday, 18 th March 2023 at the Oman Cricket Academy Turf 2 in Al Amerat. The tournament was contested between OC A Division Domestic League teams divided in 2 groups of 4 teams in around-robin format followed by position matches.
In the 1 st Semi Final, Orient Travels elected to bat first against Glam Homes Properties. Orient Travels managed to score a respectable 163/5 in 20 overs courtesy an unbeaten knock from Syed Amir Ali (71 of 41; 7x4,3x6). In response, Glam Homes Properties could only manage to get to 156/10 in 20 overs with Tauseef Ahmed picking 3/25 and Qayyum Mudasir and Syed Amir Ali picking 2wickets each. Orient Travels register the win by 7 runs and confirm their slot in the Finals.
In the 2 nd Semi Final, Fagor FCC elected to bat first against OCT Ruwi. Fagor FCC notched 149/6 in 20 overs with even contribution from Nishanth M (35 of 38) and Sultan Ahmed (31 of 25). Mohammed al Balushi and Faraz al Balushi picked 2 wickets each. In response, OCT Ruwi was restricted to a mere 113/9 in 20 overs courtesy of Parameswaran Shankar’s 3/11 and Vinukumar CG’s 2/37 ensuringFagor FCC’s win by 36 runs and a berth into the finals.
