MUSCAT: Eng Khalfan bin Saleh al Naabi, member of the Board of Directors of the Oman Olympic Committee, accompanied by Mohammed bin Hamad al Rahbi, Acting Executive Director, participated in the Extraordinary General Assembly meeting of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation (ISSF), which was hosted by the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Monday.
The meeting was presided over by Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki al Faisal, ISSF President.
During the meeting, the report of the fifth Islamic Solidarity Sports Games that was held in Türkiye in August 2022 was reviewed, in addition to approving the appointment of Nasser al Majali as Secretary-General of the federation.
The meeting approved the mechanism for selecting the host city for the Sixth Sports Games of Islamic Solidarity 2025 in addition to designating the city of Riyadh to host the 12th general assembly meeting of the federation, which will be held in August.
