Muscat: Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi received here on Sunday Dr Ali Bagheri, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Iranian official is paying a visit to the Sultanate of Oman to hold a meeting of the Strategic Consultation Committee between Oman and Iran.
The meeting reviewed the bilateral relations between two countries and underscored the joint keenness to enhance them in various areas to serve the mutual interests.
The two sides also touched on a set of regional and global issues of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, Khalid Hashil al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, Ali Najafi, Ambassador of Iran to Oman and a number of officials from both sides.
