Oman welcomes decision to resume Saudi-Iran diplomatic ties

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed the joint tripartite statement issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the People's Republic of China, to resume Saudi-Iranian diplomatic relations, to reopen embassies and representations within a maximum period of two months.


The statement also underlines the decision to activate the security cooperation agreement between them and the general agreement for cooperation in the field of economy and trade, investment, technology, science, culture, sports, and youth.


The Sultanate hoped that this step would contribute to strengthening the pillars of security and stability in the region and consolidating positive and constructive cooperation that benefits all peoples of the region and the world.
