Muscat Academy gymnasts impress in Dubai tourney

Gymnasts from Muscat Academy Gymnastics Club impressed at the 11th edition of Dubai Open Gymnastics full apparatus competition which concluded recently in Dubai.


The Oman gymnasts snatched 11 gold medals, 16 silver medals and 11 bronze medals and delivered a top show that reflected their top talent and skills in this sport.

As many as 300 participants took part in the event representing several regional and international clubs across the world including: Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Sultanate of Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The open gymnastics competition in Dubai is considered as one of the strongest tournaments in the region.

From Oman, 14 players participated in the competitions including Laya al Saleh, Ines al Mufleh, Hana El Naggar and Victoria Murphy. The second level featured participation of Aayah Taqi and Aleena al Adawi. In the third level the team was represented by Amira Khalilova, Harlotte Lejeune Jabre, Kiana Ibrahim, Mizyan al Maimani, Reem al Barwani, Sarah al Balushi, Vitalia Egorova and Yasmina al Said.


After this accomplishment, Muscat Academy Gymnastics Club management said they will eye more achievements in the forthcoming regional and continental events.
