Muscat, March 7
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and Oman Football Association (OFA) unveiled the details of the HM Football Cup Championship on Tuesday in a press conference at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
The final match of the HM Cup will be between Seeb and Al Nahda and will take place on Thursday under auspices of Sayyid Badr bin Hamed al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, besides top dignitaries.
Hilal al Maamari, Assistant General Manager of Welfare and Sports Development, said that series of meetings were been held to finalise all the preparations for the final match of the coveted cup.
“All the doors of the venue will be opened ahead of the match with sufficient time for smooth and ease audience entrance to the complex. Many activities will be organised as a sidelines events prior the match start” he said.
Hilal al Sinani, Executive Director of OFA, affirmed that the selection of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex as a venue for the HM Cup final match was based on the readiness of complex and it can accommodate more fans beside other factors.
“The final match of the HM Cup is a prestigious event and much-awaited game by all the football fans. We are working hard with our stakeholders to ensure delivering a high profile match. Many zones around the venue will be distributed for food, sports corner, fun zone and entertainment area,” he said.
