Political talks session held between Oman, India

Muscat: The 12th session of political talks was held here on Monday between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India.


The Omani side was headed by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Indian side was headed by Ausaf Sayeed, Secretary of Consular, Passport, Visa and Overseas Indian Affairs.


During the session, the two sides underscored the joint advance relations and the importance of enhancing them in all spheres. They also touched on exploring business and investment opportunities.


Further, the two sides discussed several consular matters. They also reviewed Oman’s participation as a guest of honour in the G20 meetings headed by India this year.


The session was attended by Amit Narang, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Sultanate of Oman, Shaikh Hamad Saif al Rawahi, Head of the International Cooperation Department and several officials from both sides.
