MUSCAT: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister, on Thursday received Mikhail Bogdanov, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the Middle East and Africa.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed areas of mutual cooperation. They also exchanged views on various regional and international matters of common interest.
POLITICAL TALKS SESSION
A session of political talks was also held between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation.
The Omani side was headed during the session by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Russian side was headed by Mikhail Bogdanov.
During the session, the two sides reviewed areas of mutual interest and discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation. They also exchanged views on various regional and international matters.
The session was attended by Ilya Morgunov, Ambassador of Russia to Oman, Shaikh Hamad bin Saif al Rawahi, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Yousef bin Issa al Zedjali, Head of the East Europe Department, and several officials from both sides. -- ONA
