Tremors in Al Huqf: No injuries, damages reported

Muscat: Authorities on Sunday said that some citizens have reported of feeling slight earthquake tremors in Al Huqf area, but confirmed that it had not received any reports of injuries or damages to properties.


Earlier, the Earthquake Monitoring Center (EMC) at Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) reported that a 4.1-magnitude earthquake in Al Huqf, at 7:55 am on Sunday.


The EMC said that the alert level is zero for both Muscat and the rest of the Sultanate, but added that the direct impact will differ from one building to another, depending on the type, height, and nature of the buildings.
