‘Al Asimah’ claims Al Bashayer golden sword

His Highness Sayyid Asaad bin Tariq al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Special Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, sponsored the final race of the sixth annual Al Bashayer Festival for camel racing held at Al Bashayer camel racing track in the Wilayat of Adam, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate.


On Saturday afternoon, the decisive rounds of this festival were launched in the presence of a number of ministers, excellencies, and honorable members of the State Council.

Four rounds were held for the final day, two rounds for ‘Thanaya’ category for a distance of 8 km, and two rounds were allocated for the ‘Al Hool’ category for a distance of 8 km. The rewards included the golden and the silver swords of Al Bashayer and Al Bashayer Cup.


Thanaya category


‘Al Shahiniya’, owned by the Royal Camel Corps and trained by Hamed al Ghaifil, claimed the opening round honours to take the Al Bashayer Cup. The second round was claimed by ‘Iconah’, owned by Nasser al Misned from Qatar, to take Al Bashayer Cup.


Al Hool Category


‘Shawahin’, owned by Musa al Mousa from Saudi Arabia, won the first round with a prize of silver sword.


In the second and the main round with the biggest prize the golden sword, ‘Al Asimah’ owned by Hijen Al Bashayer trained by Musa al Jahafy, emerged winner.
