The General Secretariat of the Tender Board, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Asayel Company for Conferences, is organizing the 4th International Conference on Quality and Value Engineering in Muscat from February 21, 2023. The two-day forum, focusing on the theme, ‘Value Engineering in Light of Global Changes’, will take place at the Grand Millennium Muscat under the auspices of Sayyid Saud bin Hilal al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat

At a press briefing to announce the conference, the organisers noted that this year's conference comes as a result of the global challenges faced by different countries of the world, as well as institutions and companies of all categories. Economic challenges are the most worrisome, requiring institutions to rethink everything from raising production capacity, improving performance and quality levels, while maintaining efficiency and reducing cost and financial waste as much as possible.

The conference aims to spread awareness of the importance of value engineering now and in the future, consolidate the culture of value engineering and its permanence, the importance of using value engineering to improve quality and raise efficiency, enhance the role of value engineering in creativity and innovation, overcome obstacles to development and growth and develop alternatives, and review local, regional and international experiences in value engineering, and more.

Mikael Barsal, CEO of the International SAVE Association, commented: “At a time when challenges abound, competition for financial resources increases, and the need for innovation and value improvement increases in all private and public sectors, the International SAVE Association comes, which devotes its efforts to pouring into the promotion of the value methodology, or what is called With "value engineering", which is used in the government sector, construction, production factories, improving projects and developing products, the benefits of value engineering include reducing costs, increasing profits, improving quality and performance and enhancing customer satisfaction.”
