HM makes phone call to Syrian President

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Tuesday made a telephone call to President Dr Bashar al Assad of the Syrian Arab Republic, expressing his deep condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the President and the Syrian people in the aftermath of the recent devastating earthquake. He wished the injured speedy recovery.


During the telephonic conversation, His Majesty the Sultan reaffirmed the Sultanate of Oman’s solidarity with the Syrian Arab Republic. He voiced Oman’s support for all in view of this grave accident, praying to Allah the Almighty to alleviate its impacts, help the Syrian people overcome this ordeal and spare them any harm.


On his turn, President Al Assad expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for his kind initiative and noble feelings. He valued Oman’s stand, praying to Allah the Almighty to spare His Majesty the Sultan and Omani people any calamity.
