Muscat: Yalla Shabab beat Majees CC by 108 runs in the Premier Division powered by Muscat Pharmacy of the Oman Cricket Domestic League 2022-23.
Putting Yalla Shabab to bat first , Majees started off well picking 2 wickets in the powerplay. Hannan Rizwan (43 of 45; 7x4) set a base for the Shabab batmen to put up a formidable total. Wasim Ali (101 of 94; 6x4,4x6) and Khalid Kail (101 of 107; 11x4,1x6) stitched a well knitted and composed 207 run partnership, both remaining not out taking Yalla Shabab to 285 in 50 overs. Sahil Shaik bagged 2/29 for Majees CC. In response, Majees CC was in a puddle as none of their batsmen could stand ground against the Yalla Shabab bowlers other than stalwart Zeeshan Maqsood (83 of 108; 2x4,5x6) who single-handedly drive Majees to fight for the chase. Majees CC bundled down for 177 in 42.5 overs courtesy Muhammed Zahid (3/35) , Wasim Ali (2/29) and Zikria Islam (2/30). Yalla Shabab register their 4th win out of 5 games while Majees CC are yet to register a win in the league.
