Oman International Hospital launches Med Academy

MUSCAT: The Oman International Hospital (OIH) launches the Med Academy on February 1, a 10-years project powered by Siemens Healthineers.


The overall goal of Med Academy is promoting technical and clinical know-how of OIH employees aiming to increase skills leading to the provision of the best health care, in line with the highest quality standards worldwide.


The project includes onsite and online training sessions, e-education platforms, preceptorships, and symposiums. And it will be used as the foundation for the process of Accreditation of the hospital.


Oman International Hospital was founded in 2021, in collaboration with an experienced European hospital management group (IGHS) and composed of three diverse shareholders: Oman Brunei Investment Company, Suhail Bahwan Group, and Idealmed Global Healthcare Services (IGHS). Marcelo Pereira CEO of OIH also added that “With the assistance of a network of highly devoted and skilled medical professionals, renowned international doctors, sophisticated medical equipment, and cutting-edge technology in streamlining, OIH is committed to providing world-class treatment to the citizens of Oman as well as to the expatriate populace of the country. ”
