

MUSCAT: The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has signed a cooperation agreement with DHL Express to empower small and medium enterprises and craftsmen and enhance the growth of their business through a package of initiatives.
The agreement was signed by Abdul Aziz bin Saeed al Raisi, Vice President of SMEDA and Mustafa Othman, General Manager of DHL Express in Oman.
The agreement includes enhancing the support between the two sides to provide services, training programmes and business opportunities for SMEs, including cooperation in business opportunities such as procurement, contracts and tenders for SMES registered with SMEDA and providing preferential prices for shipping and storage services outside and inside the Sultanate of Oman, in addition to allocating spaces for storing products of SMEs and craftsmen in the storage sites of DHL Express in the Oman.
DHL Express will also provide training programmes and technical consultations in the field of logistics and e-commerce programmes for SMEs and craftsmen, including knowledge of types of packaging, weight and quantity of products and the instructions used according to the type of materials from which the products were manufactured to be shipped to global markets. — ONA
