Oman, KSA discuss investment opportunities and real estate projects

Riyadh: Acting in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, Oman’s embassy in Riyadh on Thursday held an introductory meeting with investors and major real estate development companies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to discuss investment opportunities and real estate projects.


The meeting took place on the sidelines of the second edition of “Real Estate Future Forum” held in Riyadh.


The meeting was attended by Dr Khalfan Said al Shuaili, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning. It was held within the context of the National Strategy for Urban Development.

Through the strategy, the ministry envisages the implementation of modern plans for the development of the real estate sector and the execution of tourism projects in cities and governorates of Oman. The projects are expected to be floated shortly.


The investment opportunities include various projects for the development of multipurpose residential and entertainment destinations that promote the concept of ‘humanization of cities’ and the standards of environmental and urban sustainability in Oman.


The ministry’s specialists provided visual presentations on investment opportunities and real estate development projects. The presentations highlighted the geographical nature of Omani governorates, the comparative advantages of each location and elements of attraction of tourism and urban growth.


The speakers also outlined the services offered by the ministry to individuals and firms wishing to invest in the real estate sector.
