MUSCAT: In keeping with its mission to give back to its community, National Bank of Oman (NBO) has recently launched 'Thursday Café', an initiative to promote local food and beverage businesses at the bank’s headquarters. The aim is to further engage NBO employees, while small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Oman are able to showcase and sell their culinary highlights as NBO is keen to work together with local partners to unlock opportunities for all.

Thursday Café will benefit the employee connection while the bank has always been open to pushing the boundaries of what is possible at the workplace. Employees and visitors can have a food and beverage tasting experience towards the end of every week, while participating SMEs will not be charged any fee to participate in the weekly event.

NBO has long been an active participant in local, community-centred initiatives that aim to support local businesses and therefore contribute to Oman’s economic growth and diversification. The bank will continue to seize opportunities that drive progress, prosperity and create value for Oman and its people.
