MUSCAT: ABA Oman International School won the prestigious ‘InspirED School Marketers Brilliance Silver Award’ for the Social Media Campaign - ‘New Beginnings’.

The Brilliance Awards, sponsored by InspirED School Marketers, is an international competition that recognises excellence in private and independent school marketing and communications.

The entries were evaluated by a panel of 71 marketing and communications experts from around the world who are professionals in the private school or private school marketing industry.

This marked a new chapter in ABA’s growth story and highlighted its 35-year strong legacy.

To commemorate this milestone, the school launched a social media campaign titled 'New Beginnings', spearheaded by former ABA Board Chair, Lamya al Kiyumi and the Board of Directors.

The campaign showcased the 100-day countdown to the opening of the new campus and the official inauguration ceremony by His Highness Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham bin Tarik al Said, who graduated from ABA in 2012.

Lamya al Kiyumi, former ABA Board Chair stated, “The move to our Al Irfan Campus was a dream held by numerous boards. It was an honour to be part of the Board that realised this dream. We wanted to build momentum and share our community’s excitement of the move with everyone. The idea of a campaign leading up to the move was born in a workshop led by our Strategic Development Committee and included Board Directors, ABA’s Head of School and our Communications Director. The result: the “New Beginnings” campaign where everyday, hope and excitement for the next chapter of our story was showcased. This campaign was a true testament to what real teamwork means.”

“We are thrilled to have received recognition for the innovative campaign that was launched to unveil our new campus”, says Merrin James, Communications Director, ABA Oman International School.

“We are grateful to the visionary leadership of our former Board Chair, Lamya Al Kiyumi, and the ABA Board of Directors as well as the collaborative efforts of our parents, teachers, staff and students who were instrumental in the success of the campaign. We are incredibly proud of the passion and dedication of our team, including Sanjana Nandakumar, our Communications Coordinator (ABA Alumni) and Mark Schreurs from Vortex Oman, also an ABA alum, in conceptualising and crafting compelling narratives to execute this campaign.”

“The move to our new campus marks a significant milestone for the ABA community. As a distinguished school built on a strong foundation of our illustrious history, we are honoured to celebrate 35 years of our legacy. Our success has been and continues to be rooted in our steadfast commitment to our mission, vision, and values, as well as our strong partnership with the community, which is evident through our ongoing campaigns. We eagerly anticipate what the future holds for us as we continue to inspire and empower our inquirers to explore their full potential," stated Craig Williamson, Head of School at ABA Oman International School.

ABA Oman International School is the leading International Baccalaureate Continuum School in Oman. Founded in 1987, ABA is a not-for-profit, non-selective, K-12 independent school located at Madinat Al Irfan, Muscat.
