Muscat: Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham al Said will preside over this Thursday over the Royal Cavalry’s annual horse race, which will be held in the Wilayat of Al Buraimi.
The event is organized by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Cavalry.
The race will consist of five laps for thoroughbred Arabian horses. It will culminate in the 5thlap in which riders will compete to win the coveted His Majesty the Sultan’s Cup.
Equestrian skills will be exhibited in between the laps, to the accompaniment of popular musical tunes.
