SUHAR: The people of the Wilayat of Suhar in the Governorate of North Al Batinah organised a celebration on Friday to mark the anniversary of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's accession to power.
State Council and Majlis Ash'shura members, directors of government institutions, shaikhs and notable personalities in the governorate participated in the event.
The celebration featured performances of patriotic and folk songs, camel shows and horse marches, all of which sang praises of love and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan.
In addition, maritime art teams and several ship owners performed marine shows, chanting slogans of love and gratitude to His Majesty the Sultan, while carrying portraits of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and the flag of the Sultanate of Oman. -- ONA
