

SUHAR: The Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in North Al Batinah Governorate on Sunday held its first meeting for the current year. The meeting discussed the strategy for events, activities, programmes and initiatives that serve the interests of the private sector.
The members of the Council reviewed the mechanisms for forming sectoral committees according to the requirements of the private sector during the next phase.
Engineer Saeed bin Ali al Abri, Chairman of the Board of Directors, pointed out the importance of the role of the Chamber and its branches during the next stage, as stipulated in Royal Decree No (56/2022).
A strategic plan was formed to ensure the implementation of initiatives and programmes aimed at aiding business owners.
Al Abri added: “We look forward to strengthening the effective partnership and to enable the private sector to perform its work, as we are currently working on forming sectoral committees, which will have a major role in serving the various commercial sectors in the governorate. They can also adopt the challenges to find appropriate solutions that contribute to revitalising and developing the performance of the private sector. — ONA
