Muscat: There are chances of thundershowers will continue over Musandam, North Al Batinah. Al Buraimi. South Al Batinah and Al Dhahira governorates on Saturday, which will be associated with fresh wind and flash floods
The intensity of heavy rain is expected over Oman Coastal areas with amounts between 30 mm and 50 mm.
Thundershowers may extend to Muscat and Al-Hajar mountains at night.
There are chances of rain of varying intensity in the governorates of Musandam, North al Batinah, Al Buraimi, South al Batinah, Muscat, and Al Dhahirah, Oman Meterology said.It also confirmed the flow of cumulus clouds on the coasts of the two governorates. Dhofar and Al Wusta.
Northern governorates of the Sultanate of Oman are predicted to receive rain until Sunday due to an air trough of low pressure
“Rain of varying intensity ( 10-40) mm is expected over Saturday and Sunday that may cause wadis to overflow, while fresh downdraft winds with speed of 28-45km per hour will prevail in these governorates.
Sea state will be moderate to rough with a maximum wave height of (2-3) meters along the coasts of Musandam and North Batinah”, Oman Met added. Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) calls on citizens and residents to exercise caution during weather conditions, to avoid venturing into the sea, and to keep following the latest weather updates issued by the Authority.
