Oman condemns Somalia car bombings

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has condemned car bombings that took place in Mahas town in central Somalia on Wednesday.


In a statement, the Foreign Ministry has expressed its sincere condolences and sympathy to the government, people of the brotherly Somalia and to the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.


“The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed its solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia and its firm stance in condemning violence and terrorism in all its forms”, the statement reads.


Meanwhile, the terrorists had attacked Mahas town using vehicles loaded with explosives leaving at least nine people killed and several others wounded.
