MUSCAT: A new batch of citizens on Sunday joined the Royal Oman Police (ROP) as part of ongoing national efforts by ROP in coordination with the Ministry of Labour to employ Omani youth.


The new batch encompasses general education diploma (GED) holders, post-GED holders in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and electrical engineering.


The new police recruits will join the Institute of Police Recruits at Sultan Qaboos Academy for Police Sciences to undergo an integrated training and qualification programme which includes law and police studies and military training. — ONA
