Muscat: The Ministry of Health (MOH) has simplified guidelines for receiving requests from citizens for treatment abroad.

The new procedures will facilitate the completion of their transactions at the earliest as ministerial decisions are issued on this matter.

At the time of submission, the applicant must submit the Civil ID and contact numbers, a recent medical report from a government hospital in the Sultanate of Oman (the issue date should not exceed six months), and a medical report from the patient’s physician, including the unavailability of treatment in government hospitals.

The request can be sent to Email myrequestto-ta@moh.gov.om or WhatsApp service at 24946385

MOH indicated that the application will be presented to the National Committee for Treatment Abroad within two working weeks, and the applicant will be provided with the committee's decision, via e-mail or a message via WhatsApp.
