Housing ministry inks 25 usufruct deals worth RO 2m

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, signed 25 usufruct contracts to the tune of RO 2,049,000 to award land plots for investment projects in a number of governorates in Oman in Muscat on Thursday


The contracts were signed by Hamad bin Ali al Nazwani, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for Housing, and representatives of firms that obtained lands under the usufruct system.


These contracts covered 3 industrial projects in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, 15 residential and commercial projects in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, 3 industrial and commercial projects in the Muscat Governorate, 2 commercial and industrial projects in Dhofar Governorate, a commercial project in Al Wusta Governorate and a commercial residential project in Al Dhahirah Governorate.


These projects comprised the setting up of a plastic bags production unit, a commercial complex, a school, warehouses, an ice factory, offices, and workers’ accommodation. The rest of the projects included auctions for industrial and residential commercial use. — ONA
