Snow Oman, an educational, entertainment, and adventure project will be open to the public on December 24 at the Mall of Oman in Bausher.
The operators have stated that advance ticket booking will start soon with ticket rates from RO 12.5.
Earlier Majid Al Futtaim in a statement said that the Snow Oman destination will cover an area of 14,830 square meters, complete with rides and attractions, a local colony of king and gentoo penguins, and real snow. Snow Oman is the third and newest brand to join Global Snow, the indoor snow and ski entertainment arm of Majid Al Futtaim.
Husam al Mandhari, director at Majid Al Futtaim, in a statement, said, “Very excited to be one of the first to experience the biggest snow park in the region before it opens to the public on December 24. Home to over 10 Desert Blizzard-themed rides and attractions, an ice rink, and a penguinarium with a resident colony of King and Gentoo Penguins, Snow Oman will be a must-visit entertainment attraction in the Sultanate of Oman.”
In 2005, Majid Al Futtaim pioneered the sub-zero leisure offering in its shopping mall the Mall of the Emirates: Ski Dubai, which was ranked among the “World’s Best Indoor Ski Resort”.
