

MUSCAT: Oman took part at the Camel and World Cup 2022 activities, organised by the Arab Union for Camel Races (Mahari) in Al Sheehaniya, as part of Fifa World Cup 2022 in Qatar, which concluded on December 18. The camel chariots from Qatar and Royal Camels from the Sultanate of Oman attended the opening ceremony. The second day started with the presentations of the Royal Camels, as well as the first and second matches of the first international championship ‘camel handball’. On the third day of the event, a camel race was held with a human rider, and later the Camel handball match determined the third and fourth positions. On the fourth and final day, the final match of the first international championship ‘camel handball’ was held.
