Muscat: A tropical depression is being monitored along the western coast of the Republic of India at latitude 13.4 north and longitude 68.5 east, according to satellite images and analyses from the Multi Hazards Early Warning Centre.

There is a possibility of it developing into a deep tropical depression within the next 12 hours, with wind speeds ranging from 17 to 27 knots around the center.

Over the next 72 hours, it is expected to move west-northwest towards the center of the Arabian Sea, with no direct effects on the Sultanate of Oman.

It is possible that some sporadic clouds may flow over the governorates of Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar as a result of this tropical condition.

Civil Aviation Authority urges everyone to follow its bulletins and reports and to avoid going to the sea.
