Muscat: Mohammed al Hajri (Majomba) is an Omani social media influencer who has been watching matches in the World Cup, wearing jerseys of one of the teams playing in that particular match.
It may be sheer coincidence, but the fact that the team whose jersey he wears ends up on the losing side, right from the start of this World Cup, including the Argentina-Saudi Arabia match, which was one of the major upsets of this World Cup.
On Tuesday, he wore a jersey supporting the Croatian team and the result was the team lost 3-0 to Argentina.
His followers, including Moroccon fans in Qatar, have been urging him to wear the French team jersey during its semi-final match with Morrocco - the only African and Arab team to ever reach the World Cup semis, hoping it will stay pay the 'opposite' dividends this time too.
As per his Instagram profile, he is an actor with nearly 350,000 followers and also the owner of mjomba.station.
Mjomba rose into the spotlight during the group match between South Korea and Brazil, to which he wore the Asian team's jersey, and came home to a Brazil 4-1 win.
