Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, on Sunday received Lord Tariq Ahmad of Wimbledon, Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and the United Nations at the United Kingdom’s (UK) Office of Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs.


The two officials reviewed aspects of bilateral cooperation and means of enhancing them. They also touched on joint business, investment and culture programmes aimed to enhance cooperation and serve the two countries’ mutual interests.


They also exchanged regional and international matters of common interest and underscored the importance of backing all peaceful efforts, with the prime aim of consolidating stability in the region and the world at large.


The meeting was attended by Khalid Hashel al Muselhi, Head of the Minister’s Office Department, and officials from both sides.
