NIZWA, DEC 10

The Directorate-General of Education in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate organised a talent festival under the auspices of HH Sayyid Mohammed bin Salim al Said.

Approximately 160 students from Al Dakhiliyah schools displayed their talents in singing, instrumental music and poetry recitation. Saif bin Mubarak al Julandani, Director-General, and other officials witnessed the event at Nizwa Cultural Centre.

The ceremony opened with a speech by Saif al Abdali, Assistant Director-General for Education Affairs at the Directorate-General of Education, in which he said: “The Ministry of Education has been trying to identify talented students, working to refine them and adopt them in a manner that develops and promotes them in various fields of knowledge, skill, practice and experience.”

“This celebration highlights our students’ talents in musical skills. This celebration also comes with the participation of the students of the boarding schools in the country’s celebrations of the Glorious National Day and an embodiment of the directions of Oman Vision 2040 aimed at promoting the values of citizenship, loyalty and belonging in the hearts of young people,” Al Abdali said.

Individuals and groups performed musical compositions. The ceremony was accompanied by an exhibition.
