Oman records increase in production of motor fuels

The production in Oman of premium automotive fuel M95 increased by 9.7 per cent, to reach 12.18 million barrels, until the end of October 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, according to the latest report issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information.


On the other hand, the sales of M95 decreased by 0.8 per cent to reach 10.51 million barrels, while exports amounted to 2.74 million barrels, an increase of 93.1 per cent. The report indicated that the total refinery products decreased by 2.2 per cent until the end of October 2022, compared to the same period in 2021.


The data showed an increase in the production of ordinary motor fuel M91 by 1.3 per cent until the end of October 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, to reach 11.33 million barrels. Its sales amounted to 10. 83 million barrels, with an increase of 48.8 per cent, while sales amounted to 10.83 million barrels. Its exports decreased by 61.8 per cent, to reach 1.51 million barrels.


Meanwhile, diesel sales increased by 11.5 per cent, to reach 12.42 million barrels, while exports decreased by 26.5 per cent, and production increased by 12.2 per cent until the end of October 2022 compared to the same period in 2021.


The data showed an increase in aviation fuel sales by 104 per cent to reach 2.51 million barrels, and an increase in its production by 34.4 per cent to reach 6.38 million barrels, while its exports amounted to 3.83 million barrels, an increase of 8.1 per cent until the end of October 2022.
