Omani citizens and residents can visit Qatar without Hayya card. However, for those who wish to watch matches must register in the portal.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that the citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries would be allowed to enter through the airports without Hayya card. This is also applicable for land routes with the allocation of free parking.

Omani citizens can also enter through the land port using private vehicles as of December 8, after applying for an entry permit on the Ministry of Interior website 12 hours before the travel date, without the condition of paying the vehicle entry permit fee.

However, those wishing to attend matches must still register through Hayya portal.

This step comes in the context of the efforts of Qatar to provide an opportunity for visitors, citizens and residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, to enjoy the Qatar World Cup, and the various entertainment activities held there. It is worth noting that Qatar received great praise for its efforts in organising the 2022 World Cup, which many experts, specialists and football legends described as the best in history.

Also, in this context, the Sultanate of Oman has provided many facilities for Hayya card holders. The Sultanate of Oman is the best in terms of facilities for issuing visas for World Cup fans and holders of the Hayya card, especially since the visa is free and includes many available features, unlike some countries that have reviewed fees.

These facilities are in line with the programme of the Sultanate of Oman accompanying the Qatar World Cup 2022 and in support of the efforts of the brother country of Qatar in making the World Cup a success. It also promotes Muscat as a main city to receive the World Cup fans and provide an easy and exceptional experience for the fans coming to the Sultanate of Oman.
