Business coach and author Sangeeta Shankaran Sumesh (pictured) will speak at the International Seminar of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India’s (ICAI) Muscat Chapter on December 10.
Her visit and lecture will benefit the finance and accounts fraternity, as she has a proven track record of being an independent director on corporate boards, besides being the Chief Financial Officer of many corporates.
She is on a global drive to enable, empower and elevate businesses by serving both the leaders and teams. After being in the corporate world for over 25 years, Sangeeta decided to align with her inner purpose of contributing to the growth of businesses as well as individuals. She decided to share her corporate experience and skills as a credential coach from International Coaching Federation (PCC).
She is a Chartered Accountant, Management Accountant and has completed executive education at Harvard Business School. She adds value to her clients through her books, coaching programmes, and speaking engagements. ‘What the Finance – Easy and simple finance practices for businesses; ‘Get High – How to coach yourself for high performance; and ‘Where’s the Moolah – Financial growth hacks for business profitability’ are among the titles she authored. Sangeeta conducts customised workshops for business leaders based on the theme of her books. Some of her clients include Ford, Cisco, Transunion, Witzenmann, RPG Group, Andritzetc.
She is also the recipient of many awards, including the Nightingale Award by The Society of Auditors, Leading Woman Chief Financial Officer; and Innovator in Finance. She is among ‘100 inspiring authors of India’; an ‘Outstanding Professional’ award by the ‘Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry’ among others.
