Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) on Monday said the issuance of identity, and resident cards will be temporarily stopped on Tuesday, November 22.


"The Royal Oman Police (ROP) - Directorate of Relations and Security Information - announces to all citizens and residents that the issuance,


renewal or replacement of national ID cards and resident cards will be suspended on Tuesday 22 November 2022 to coincide with the date of


voting for the elections of Board of Directors of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI). The ROP will issue birth and death certificates to


citizens and residents on 22 November.," a statement from the ROP read.
