Muscat: Khalid Hilal al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council met here on Sunday with Dr Laszlo Kover, Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing bilateral cooperation, especially in the legislative fields by boosting coordination between the Shura Council and the National Assembly of Hungary.
The meeting underscored the importance of unifying perspectives in international meetings and forums by activating the joint Omani-Hungarian Friendship Association.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Hungary reiterated the importance of his visit in benefiting from the experience of the Shura Council in the legislative field.
He also affirmed that the meetings which will be held during the visit will contribute to augmenting the cooperation between Oman and Hungary in various fields.
The meeting was attended by officials from both sides.
