Muscat: The supervisory committee tasked with the Omani nascent companies programme held its first ever meeting on Thursday under the auspices of HH Sayyid Belarab bin Haitham al Said. The meeting aims to enhance the scheme of innovation-based companies that utilize advanced technology in the Sultanate of Oman.

The programme, which seeks to disseminate the culture of startups in educational institutions and society, comes in line with Oman Vision 2040, which gives priority to economic diversification and fiscal sustainability.

The programme is a step forward in elevating Oman’s ranking in international indices related to innovation, technology and ease of doing business, Halima added.
