Muscat: All important streets of the Sultanate are wearing a festive look as they have decked up with colorful lights in different shapes and themes as part of the National Day celebrations.

The Sultanate of Oman’s flag has been hoisted in the Governorate of Muscat starting from the Al Bustan Roundabout along the main road to the Al Barakah Palace roundabout, while illuminations were installed on either side of the road.

According to witnesses, street illuminations of this year seem to be different and more thoughtful compared to that of previous years.

One wilayat from each governorate in Oman has been decorated as part of the celebrations of the glorious occasion, which will see the launch of drone and laser shows, he said.

Lively carnivals will be held in two different sites of the Governorate of Muscat on November 18 and 19.

Similar shows will be held in the Governorate of Dhofar on November 18 and the Governorate of Musandam on November 23, he added.
