MUSCAT: Muscat CT beat Oman Stallions by 9 wickets and Yalla Shabab beat AER Bin Ali by 3 wickets in the Premier Division of Oman Cricket’s Season 2022-23 powered by Muscat Pharmacy.

Electing to bowl first, Muscat CT were in the exploit of the fresh wicket. Ganesh Narsumiyya and Munis Ansari wrecked havoc in the Oman Stallions dugout as they claimed 5 wickets (3 for Ganesh and 2 for Munis) in the first 6 overs of the powerplay for 11 runs.

Yaser Ali’s 23 and Jiten R’s 25 helped the stallions jot a few runs before Samay Shrivastav picked 2 wickets to end the Stallions innings at 85 in all.

Muscat CT started with all blitz from Kashyap Prajapati (39 off 39) and Jatinder Singh (26 off 32) with Shoaib Khan lighting up the finish with his 19 off 13 balls.

In the second match, Yalla Shabab elected to bowl first. AER lost their two wickets early on in the powerplay. A stable 43 off 57 balls from Usama Aqeel and a quick 46 off 53 balls from Sean Nowak along with the rest batters getting to double digits but not making an impact guided AER’s total to 216.

Mohammad Rafi and Mohammad Zahid’s 3 wickets each and Kaleemullah’s 2 wickets restricted AER with the total seeming to be an easy chase for the Shabab.

Yalla Shabab got off to a sturdy start but was well settled by Mujibur Ali’s 51 off 83 balls and a match winning 78 off 125 balls by Mohammed Nadeem with Mohammed Naseem adding to finish the game for Yalla Shabab.
