State Council session begins on November 6

Muscat - The State Council will open for the fourth ordinary session (2022-2023 ) on Sunday, November 6.


During the third ordinary session of its seventh term, the State Council achieved many achievements as per its legislative and financial powers, which include the presentation of studies and proposals.


The role witnessed the issuance of three royal decrees with draft laws referred by the Council of Ministers, and the transfer of eight studies prepared by the Council to the government, in addition to the draft state budget for the fiscal year.


Khalid bin Ahmed al Saadi, Secretary-General of the State Council, confirmed that the council held six regular sessions, during which it discussed sixteen topics, including draft laws referred by the Council of Ministers, and approved a number of studies and proposals submitted by the council’s committees.
