The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced the start of reception of World Cup visa applications from fans wishing to enter the Sultanate of Oman.

Holders of a special World Cup visa card (Haya Card issued by Qatar) can, in particular, avail various incentives and advantages, in line with Oman’s programme accompanying Fifa World Cup Qatar 2022.

Haya Card will enable the holders to apply for a stay in Oman. The visa associated with Haya Card is free and provides for multiple trips. It can be obtained on arrival and it is valid for up to 60 days.

The Haya Card-linked residency can be extended twice through the visa electronic website. Holders of Haya Card are allowed to bring their first-class family members and change their visas to other categories, if they wish, in accordance with applicable conditions.

The visa can be obtained by applying through Oman’s e-visa website (evisa.rop.gov.om), after the fan gets a Haya Card from the State of Qatar, after which the fan attaches a copy of the travel ticket, a personal photo and a copy of the passport and a confirmed hotel reservation in Oman.

Oman’s programme accompanying the World Cup celebrates Qatar’s hosting of the event and shows support for the host country’s efforts to make the World Cup a success.
